Why IP First

Services fund the platform.
IP is the business.

A services company sells time. A product company sells units. A platform company licenses capability. Power Flux AI is building toward the third model — where the IP portfolio and AI design platform generate royalty and licensing revenue that scales independently of headcount.

Every consulting engagement, every product design, and every workshop contributes to the IP corpus. Novel circuit topologies, control algorithms, thermal management methods, and AI-driven design processes are evaluated for patentability at every design review. IP hygiene is foundational — clean separation from former employers, proper invention disclosure, and aggressive prosecution.

"The incumbents — Danfoss, ABB, Siemens — have deep patent portfolios built over decades. Power Flux AI is building the next generation of IP: AI-native control algorithms and design methods that incumbents cannot easily replicate because they are not AI-native organizations."

Patent Portfolio

Six strategic
patent families.

Family 01
AI-FOC Control Algorithms
Adaptive field-oriented control algorithms that use neural networks to compensate for magnetic saturation, thermal drift, and parameter variation in real time. Eliminates static motor derating. Claims cover algorithm architecture, training methodology, and deployment on embedded DSP targets.
USPTOEPOIPO
Family 02
AFE Harmonic Mitigation
Active Front End topology and control methods for integrated harmonic mitigation without external LCL filters. Novel modulation strategies that achieve THDi <3% at rated load with reduced passive component count. Claims cover topology, modulation method, and co-design with motor drive.
USPTOEPO
Family 03
SiC Thermal Management
Refrigerant-cooled SiC power module packaging for direct integration with chiller and HVAC refrigerant circuits. Novel cold plate geometry and thermal interface design. Claims cover the refrigerant-cooled packaging architecture and integration method with the refrigeration cycle.
USPTOIPO
Family 04
Digital Twin Methods
Methods for constructing and deploying physics-based digital twins of power electronics systems during the design phase and continuously updating them from field data. Claims cover the construction methodology, data fusion approach, and continuous learning architecture.
USPTOEPO
Family 05
AI-Driven Design Automation
System and method for AI-driven power electronics design automation using genetic algorithms for topology optimization and neural networks for performance prediction. Claims cover the design automation pipeline architecture and the training data corpus structure.
USPTOEPOIPO
Family 06
Motor Topology Innovations
Novel permanent magnet motor topologies for high-torque-density axial flux and HVLS fan applications. Claims cover rotor geometry, winding configuration, and the co-design methodology with the drive system. Builds on the founder’s prior art including the world’s first 225 kW PM pump motor.

Licensing & Partnerships

Three licensing paths.

Technology License

Patent Royalty License

Per-unit royalty license for manufacturers incorporating Power Flux AI patented topologies, control algorithms, or design methods into their products. Negotiated rates based on volume and exclusivity.

Platform License

AI Design Platform Access

Annual subscription license to the AI design platform for OEM R&D teams. Access to the design corpus, AI models, and automated simulation pipeline. Currently in development — reserved for strategic partners.

Exclusive License

Market-Exclusive Rights

Exclusive licensing rights for a specific patent family within a defined market segment. Discussed on a case-by-case basis with strategic OEM partners. Includes co-development and joint IP provisions.
