Design Verification
& Test Engineering.

Structured verification and test engineering for power electronics systems — from simulation-based pre-validation through HIL testing, compliance verification, and reliability qualification. Finding failures in simulation is 100x cheaper than finding them in the field.

"Verification is not an afterthought — it is built into the design workflow. Automated IEEE 519 harmonic compliance checking, EMI pre-compliance prediction, and HIL validation happen before the first PCB is fabricated. Formal certification becomes a confirmation, not a discovery."

Verification & Test Services

Every stage of the
design verification lifecycle.

Simulation-Based Pre-Validation
PLECSMATLABFEMM
Full-system simulation — power stage, control loop, and grid model — before any hardware exists. IEEE 519 harmonic compliance verified in simulation. EMI emission profile predicted. Thermal stress analysis across full operating envelope. All catches made at zero hardware cost.
  • IEEE 519-2014 harmonic compliance — THDi <3–5% target verified
  • EMI pre-compliance — conducted and radiated emission profile
  • Thermal FEA — junction temperature across full power range
  • Control loop stability — Bode plots, gain and phase margin
Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Validation
dSPACETyphoon HIL
Real-time DSP validation before hardware build. The control algorithm runs on the actual target DSP (TI C2000 or STM32) while the power stage is simulated at hardware speed. AI-FOC algorithm verification, field weakening, MTPA, sensorless observer — all validated in HIL before silicon.
  • Real-time AI-FOC control loop validation at hardware speed
  • Fault injection testing — overcurrent, overvoltage, phase loss
  • Field weakening and MTPA algorithm verification
  • Sensorless control observer validation across speed range
EMI / EMC Pre-Compliance Testing
ARAI PuneIEEE 519IEC 61000
Pre-compliance scanning at ARAI Pune to identify and resolve emission issues before formal certification. Conducted EMI, radiated EMI, harmonic current, and voltage fluctuation. Resolving issues at pre-compliance stage reduces formal certification cost and schedule risk significantly.
  • Conducted EMI — CISPR 11, CISPR 32 pre-scan
  • Harmonic current — IEC 61000-3-12 compliance testing
  • Power quality — IEEE 519-2014 THDi measurement
  • Root cause analysis and design fix recommendation
Reliability & Qualification Testing
HALT / HASSThermal Cycling
Accelerated life testing and reliability qualification at ARAI Pune. Thermal cycling, HALT (Highly Accelerated Life Testing), HASS (Highly Accelerated Stress Screening), vibration testing, and humidity exposure. Test protocol development aligned to IEC 60068 and JESD22 standards.
  • Thermal cycling — IEC 60068-2-14 temperature shock
  • HALT / HASS — precipitate latent defects early
  • Vibration — IEC 60068-2-6 sinusoidal vibration
  • Damp heat — IEC 60068-2-78 humidity exposure
Compliance Standards

Built into the workflow.
Not checked at the end.

IEEE 519-2014
Harmonic current limits. THDi <3–5% at rated load — automated compliance checking embedded in AI design workflow.
IEC 61000-3-12
Harmonic currents for equipment with input current >16A. Mandatory for industrial and HVAC drive applications.
UL 61800-5-1
Safety requirements for adjustable speed electrical power drive systems. Required for North American market access.
SIL 2
IEC 62061 / ISO 13849 functional safety. Safety integrity level 2 for safety-critical industrial drive applications.
